About Udaipur Ride

A local rental brand, built in Udaipur

Udaipur Ride helps visitors find a scooty, bike, car or cab they can trust, at a price that is clear from the first message. We are a small local team, and we would rather earn your review than your one-time booking.

  • Based in Udaipur
  • Own scooties + verified partners
  • Hotel & airport delivery
  • One final price

Why we started Udaipur Ride

Renting a vehicle in Udaipur should be easy. Too often it isn’t. Visitors message five shops and get five different prices. The vehicle that turns up is older than the photo. Extra charges appear at return, and nobody can say who had the scratch first.

We started Udaipur Ride to fix that for our own city. We began with checked partner scooties on rent, delivered to hotels, with every rule written down before you pay. For bikes, self-drive cars and cabs we work with local owners who pass our checks and agree to the same prices and rules.

Our goal right now is not to be the biggest vehicle rental in Udaipur. It is to be the one people recommend to their friends.

A note from the founder

Clear terms, fair billing, no surprises.

I come from a background in commerce, law and company secretarial work. In that world, one rule matters more than any other: everything is written down, and both sides know exactly what they agreed to.

Renting a vehicle in a new city should work the same way. Before you pay, you see one final price. Your deposit, km limit, fuel policy and return rules are written in plain words, not hidden in small print. Every vehicle, ours or a verified partner’s, carries valid papers, and every partner signs the same clear agreement with us.

We are building Udaipur Ride carefully, one ride at a time. I would rather lose a booking than start a trip with a customer who isn’t sure of the terms.

What you can expect from us

These are the rules we hold ourselves to on every booking, whether the vehicle is ours or a partner’s.

One final price, before you pay

You get the full amount on WhatsApp before you confirm. Anything extra, like highway tolls or tickets, is named upfront, not added later.

Photo-proof handover

We photograph the vehicle with you at handover and share the photos on WhatsApp. At return we compare the same angles, so there are no arguments about old scratches.

Checked vehicles and papers

Every vehicle we list has valid registration, insurance and pollution papers. Partner vehicles must also be on a commercial plate.

Delivered to where you stay

Scooties, bikes and self-drive cars come to your hotel, homestay, the railway station or the airport. Cabs pick you up at the door.

A real person on WhatsApp

Messages to +91 77428 12774 are answered by our team in Udaipur, not a bot or a call centre.

Clear rules on time and deposit

How a rental day is counted, the grace time and the deposit amount are told before you book. The deposit comes back when the vehicle does.

How we check partner vehicles

Some vehicles on our site belong to local rental owners. You still book with Udaipur Ride, and every partner goes through the same five steps first.

  1. Documents

Vehicle RC, commercial insurance and the partner’s rent-a-cab or rent-a-motorcycle permit. A white private plate is not accepted.

  2. Vehicle check

We inspect each vehicle in person: tyres, brakes, lights, cleanliness, and the helmet or spare wheel that goes with it.

  3. Agreed rates and rules

The partner agrees to our pricing and rental rules, so the price you see is the price you pay, whoever owns the vehicle.

  4. Weekly update

Partners update which vehicles are free every week, so we don’t promise a car that is not there.

  5. Your feedback

After every trip we ask how it went. Partners who get complaints stop getting bookings from us.

What we do, and what we don’t

We do

  • Tell you the final price first
  • Share handover photos with you
  • Explain the deposit before you pay
  • Stay reachable during your rental

We don’t

  • Add hidden charges at return
  • List vehicles we haven’t checked
  • Rent private white-plate vehicles
  • Charge you for old damage
