Rental Rules & Security Deposit
Most rental disputes in Udaipur are over the deposit, fuel or an old scratch. So we’ve put all our rules here before you book, and we stick to them.
Valid licence required
Bring your original licence: two-wheeler for scooty and bikes, LMV for self-drive cars. We also need one government ID. Foreign guests need a passport and an International Driving Permit.
Same fuel level on return
Rent doesn’t include fuel. We note the fuel level when you pick it up. Just return it at the same level.
Helmet with every two-wheeler
Every scooty and bike comes with a clean helmet. Need one for the person riding with you? Just ask.
Running late? Tell us
Running late? Just WhatsApp us. Extra hours are charged at the rate we tell you at booking, nothing more.
Photo proof at handover
When you pick up the vehicle, we send you photos and a short video of it. If a scratch was already there, you don’t pay for it.

What documents do I need to rent a scooty or bike in Udaipur?
You need your original driving licence (two-wheeler for scooty and bikes, LMV for self-drive cars) and one government ID such as Aadhaar, passport or voter ID. Send us photos on WhatsApp when you book and show the originals at handover.
How much is the security deposit, and when do I get it back?
The amount depends on the vehicle and the length of your rental, and we confirm it on WhatsApp before you book. You pay it at handover and get it back by UPI the same day you return the vehicle. Cars with a driver need no deposit.
Can foreign tourists rent a scooty or bike in Udaipur?
Yes. Bring your passport, your home country driving licence and an International Driving Permit. If you’d rather not ride in Indian traffic, book a car with a driver instead.
What is the minimum age to rent a vehicle?
You need to be 18 or older with a valid driving licence for the vehicle you’re renting.
Do you deliver to my hotel, homestay or the railway station?
Yes. We deliver to wherever you’re staying in Udaipur, whether a hotel, homestay, hostel or Airbnb, and to Udaipur City railway station and the bus stand. Airport delivery is available on request.
Is petrol included in the rent?
No. We note the fuel level when you pick up the vehicle, and you return it at the same level. For cars with a driver, fuel is included.
Can I take a rented bike to Kumbhalgarh, Ranakpur or Mount Abu?
Yes, just tell us your route when you book. For hilly stretches like Kumbhalgarh we suggest a taxi over a scooty, as it’s more comfortable on long rides.
What if the vehicle breaks down or gets a puncture?
Call or WhatsApp us with your location. Inside Udaipur we’ll send help or swap the vehicle. For a normal breakdown that isn’t caused by an accident, you don’t pay for the repair.
How much does a taxi for Udaipur sightseeing cost?
A 4-hour Udaipur city tour starts at ₹1,500 in a sedan, and a full day (8 hours) at ₹2,200. The price includes the driver, fuel and small parking fees. Tolls, City Palace parking, the Sajjangarh vehicle entry and monument tickets are paid separately. SUVs, Innova Crysta and Tempo Traveller cost more.
