How many days do you need in Udaipur?
Most of Udaipur’s sights sit around two lakes, so the city itself takes one to two days. The places people travel for, Kumbhalgarh, Ranakpur, Nathdwara and Chittorgarh, are each a full day out. That is why a good Udaipur itinerary is usually three days.
1 day: the old city, City Palace, a boat on Lake Pichola and the Sajjangarh view. Rushed but doable.
2 days: the city done properly, or one city day and one day trip.
3 days: the city plus two day trips. The best fit for a first visit.
4 days: the city plus Kumbhalgarh, Nathdwara and Chittorgarh, with no early starts two days in a row.
