Delhi to Udaipur by road
It is highway the whole way: NH-48 through Gurugram and Behror to Jaipur, then through Kishangarh, Bhilwara and Chittorgarh to Udaipur.

Which car should you book?
1 to 3 people with cabin bags: a sedan is the cheapest way to go.
4 adults with big suitcases: take the Ertiga. Four people and four suitcases do not fit in a sedan.
Family of 5–6: the Ertiga, or an Innova Crysta if you want more leg room on a long drive.
8 to 12 people: one Tempo Traveller costs less than two cars and keeps the group together.

Before you go
Start early: leave by 5 AM on the one-day trip. You are out of Gurugram before the traffic and in Udaipur by evening.
Landing in Delhi and driving straight on: send us the flight number. After a long flight the two-day option is kinder.
Winter fog: from mid-December to January the stretch before Jaipur can be foggy in the morning. Keep two hours spare.
Old city hotels in Udaipur: the lanes around Jagdish Chowk, Lal Ghat and Gangaur Ghat are too narrow for cars at busy hours. The driver drops you at the nearest point and your hotel sends someone for the bags.

Do I pay for the return on a one-way trip?
No. The one-way fare is the full price for the drop in Udaipur.
