This 3 day Udaipur itinerary comes in three versions: three full days in the city, the city plus Kumbhalgarh and Nathdwara, or a loop through Kumbhalgarh and Chittorgarh with one night out. Every stop has a time, every ticket has a price, and the taxi for all three days starts at ₹6,900 in a sedan.

Each 3 day Udaipur itinerary below lists the places, the distance and the sedan fare. Plan A keeps Udaipur as your base and adds two day trips. Plan B loops through Mewar with one night at Kumbhalgarh and adds Chittorgarh. Plan C never leaves the city and covers 20 Udaipur sights at an easy pace.

Plans A and B: Day 1 in the city
City Palace, Lake Pichola and Sajjangarh

Flying in that morning? We can start from Dabok airport instead, at ₹250 less than our normal airport fare.
- City Palace
Be at the gate when it opens, before the tour groups. Give it about two hours.
- Jagdish Temple
A short walk from the palace gate. Shoulders and knees covered.
- Lunch near Gangaur Ghat
Lake-view cafés. Your driver waits nearby.
- Doodh Talai boat and Karni Mata ropeway
A 15 to 20 minute round on Lake Pichola, then the ropeway up the hill for the view. Both start from the same spot.
- Sajjangarh (Monsoon Palace)
The car drives up the hill. In winter the counter closes at 5:30 PM.
- Dharohar folk dance at Bagore Ki Haveli
One hour of Rajasthani dance. The counter opens at 4 PM. Drop at your hotel by about 8:15 PM.

Kumbhalgarh Fort and Ranakpur Jain Temple

About 2 to 2.5 hours to Kumbhalgarh through the Aravalli hills.

Walk part of the wall and climb to Badal Mahal at the top. Allow 2.5 hours and wear good shoes.

- Ranakpur Jain Temple
Open to visitors from about 12 PM to 5 PM. Shoes and leather items stay outside.

About 22 km out. No photos inside, so leave phones in the car.

Reach for the Rajbhog darshan, about 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM. Phones and leather items are not allowed inside.

Simple vegetarian thalis near the temple.
- Haldighati
The Maharana Pratap museum (9 AM to 6 PM), Chetak’s memorial and the old pass. About an hour.

The 369 ft Shiva statue on the edge of Nathdwara. It is open 10 AM to 12:30 PM and 3 PM to 10 PM, so the morning slot is the one to catch.

Shrinathji’s Rajbhog darshan runs about 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM. Prefer Eklingji? It is open 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM and we stop there instead. Tell us which when you book.

Keep it quick. The afternoon has two stops.
- Haldighati
Maharana Pratap museum and Chetak’s memorial, about an hour.
- Kumbhalgarh Fort
Walk the walls in the evening light. The ticket counter shuts around 5 PM, so this time matters.
- Light and sound show
About 45 minutes, in Hindi. Your hotel is a short drive from the gate.

About 40 km from Chittorgarh, on the highway back to Udaipur. Darshan pauses around midday, so we reach it in the afternoon.

An old minister’s haveli on Gangaur Ghat, with its rooms, puppets and turbans.
- Jagmandir island boat
The evening boat from the City Palace jetty to the island palace in Lake Pichola. Oct to Mar, 3 PM to 5 PM.
- Sunset at Ambrai Ghat
Free, and the best view of the City Palace across the water.
- Dharohar folk dance
At Bagore Ki Haveli, an hour of Rajasthani dance. Drop at your hotel by about 8:15 PM.

How we price each 3 day Udaipur itinerary: Plan A and Plan C add up our day rates (city 12 hr ₹2,500, city 8 hr ₹2,200, Kumbhalgarh + Ranakpur ₹3,500, Eklingji + Nathdwara + Haldighati ₹3,000 in a sedan). Plan B is the city day plus our 2-day outstation fare (₹6,300 in a sedan, up to 600 km with the driver’s night allowance). No extra km charge inside the city.

Do the city days by scooty
Like to ride? The city days of this 3 day Udaipur itinerary work well on a scooty. We deliver it to your hotel and you follow the same plan at your own pace. Riding out to Eklingji, Nathdwara and Haldighati is fine and adds ₹300 a day. Kumbhalgarh is too far for a scooty and Chittorgarh is not allowed, so those days go by taxi.

Scooty basics
Free delivery to your hotel, the railway station or the bus stand.
Two riders at most on one scooty. Four people need two scooties.
Licence: a valid two-wheeler licence and one ID. A helmet comes with the scooty.
Petrol is paid by you. Timing is flexible and agreed on WhatsApp.
Outside the city: Eklingji, Nathdwara and Haldighati add ₹300 a day. Kumbhalgarh and Chittorgarh go by taxi. Two-wheelers pay no highway toll.
Two riders going up to Sajjangarh? Take a Dio or Access 125. The hill road is steep.

Temple and show timings come from public sources and can shift with the season and festivals, so treat them as approximate. Separate tickets: the City Palace entry does not include Crystal Gallery or the Jagmandir boat, and the Bagore Ki Haveli museum and the Dharohar show are two tickets.

Tips for 3 days in Udaipur
For everyone
Dress for temples. Four temples on this 3 day Udaipur itinerary ask for modest clothes: Jagdish, Eklingji, Shrinathji and Ranakpur. Cover shoulders and knees.
Phones and leather. Not allowed inside Shrinathji. No photos inside Eklingji. Leave them in the car.
Closed days and hours. Biological Park on Tuesdays, Eklingji from 1:30 to 5 PM, the Statue of Belief from 12:30 to 3 PM, Ranakpur for visitors outside 12 to 5 PM.
Carry cash or UPI for tickets, parking, boats and lunch.

Visiting from abroad
Foreign ticket prices are higher at most counters: ₹600 at Kumbhalgarh and Chittorgarh, ₹630.24 at the Monsoon Palace, ₹430 for the Nehru Park boat. City Palace is ₹400 for everyone.

Is 3 days enough for Udaipur?
Yes. Three days cover the city’s main sights and leave room for one or two day trips. With this 3 day Udaipur itinerary you can stay in the city all three days (Plan C), add Kumbhalgarh, Ranakpur and Nathdwara (Plan A), or loop through Kumbhalgarh and Chittorgarh with one night out (Plan B).
What is the best 3 day Udaipur itinerary?
The best 3 day Udaipur itinerary for most first-time visitors: Day 1 City Palace, Lake Pichola, the Karni Mata ropeway and Sajjangarh; Day 2 Kumbhalgarh Fort and Ranakpur; Day 3 Eklingji, Shrinathji at Nathdwara and Haldighati. If you would rather not leave the city, Plan C spreads 20 Udaipur sights over three easy days.
How much does a 3 day Udaipur trip cost by taxi?
In a sedan, after the ₹300 multi-day discount, the taxi for a 3 day Udaipur itinerary is ₹6,900 for Plan C (city only), ₹8,700 for Plan A and ₹8,500 for Plan B. With tickets and car charges, two Indian adults spend about ₹14,054 on Plan C, ₹12,014 on Plan A and ₹12,858 on Plan B, not counting hotel and food.
Can I spend all 3 days only in Udaipur city?
Yes, that is Plan C. Day 1 is the old city, City Palace and a boat to Jagmandir. Day 2 is Fateh Sagar, Saheliyon Ki Bari, Sajjangarh and the Moti Magri show. Day 3 is Ahar, the Vintage Car Collection, Shilpgram and the Karni Mata ropeway. There is no extra km charge inside the city.
Are entry tickets included in the taxi price?
No. The taxi price covers the car, driver, fuel and hotel pickup. Tickets, boats, shows, City Palace parking, the Sajjangarh car entry and tolls are paid by you at each counter. Every price is listed on this page.
Which plan should I pick?
Pick the 3 day Udaipur itinerary that fits your pace. Plan C if you want a slow trip and no long drives. Plan A if you want Kumbhalgarh and Ranakpur but prefer to sleep in Udaipur every night. Plan B if you want Chittorgarh too and do not mind one night at Kumbhalgarh.
Can the trip start from Udaipur airport?
Yes. Book the airport pickup together with this itinerary and it costs ₹250 less than our normal airport fare: ₹549 in a sedan, ₹749 in an Ertiga, ₹1,049 in an Innova Crysta and ₹1,749 in a Tempo Traveller.
Do we book the hotel at Kumbhalgarh ourselves on Plan B?
Yes. You book and pay for your own room near the fort. The driver’s night allowance is already in the Plan B fare. Tell us the hotel name so the driver knows where to pick you up on Day 3.
Which places are closed on certain days or hours?
Sajjangarh Biological Park is closed on Tuesdays. Eklingji closes from about 1:30 to 5 PM. Ranakpur temple lets visitors in only from about 12 to 5 PM. The Statue of Belief closes from 12:30 to 3 PM. Shrinathji darshan happens only in short jhanki windows. We plan each day around these.
Is the driver also a guide?
No. Our drivers are local and speak Hindi and English, and they know the best order for each day, but they are not licensed guides. You can hire an official guide at City Palace, Kumbhalgarh or Chittorgarh.

Do I need to pay an advance?
For most trips, no. In peak season we may ask for a small advance to hold the car, and we tell you before you confirm.
Are these fares the same all year?
These are our October to February fares. Around Diwali, Christmas and New Year fares can be higher. We confirm the final fare on WhatsApp before you book.
Can I do the 3 day Udaipur itinerary by scooty?
Yes, the city days. Plan C works fully on a scooty: an Activa 6G costs ₹1,100 for 3 days with our offer till 30 November 2026, delivered free to your hotel. On Plan A you can also ride Day 3 to Eklingji, Nathdwara and Haldighati (₹300 extra) and take a taxi only for Kumbhalgarh. On Plan B, ride the city day and take the taxi for the loop. Chittorgarh and Kumbhalgarh are not done by scooty. Two riders at most on one scooty.
